This used, American made Guild D-55 is from 2000 and is in excellent condition. First introduced in 1968 as a special-order top-of-the-line model, the D-55 was so well-received that Guild added it into the regular production line by 1974. The D-55 showcases Guild’s most recognizable head stock which is fully bound and features the Guild “Peak and Shield” inlay combination over a figured ebony overlay, alongside gold tuning machines. The matching ebony fingerboard is also fully bound and inlaid with Guild’s iconic abalone and pearl “V-Blocks” and multi-line “railroad track” purfling on the bass and treble sides. This used Taylor 612 from 1994 is in excellent condition. Very slightly used, this instrument shows hardly any signs of wear. The pick guard has begun to display some shrinkage around the edges, but the spruce top and maple back and sides are virtually untouched, with barely even any visible scratching. All of the gold hard wear is still shiny and untarnished. The frets are also in excellent condition, with almost no wear to be seen. The binding is also in excellent condition, with no signs of discoloration or peeling. All in all this guitar is mostly un-played, and has been kept in showroom condition for its whole life.
